Are you also sharing the same view as Mr Smartie who makes the following statements?
If your answer is yes, then you must come to join this workshop and let Mr T O Lee put you back on the right track.
- I do not deal with standby letter of credit. So ISP98 is not for me?
- ISP98 is a “Made In USA” product that does not concern Hong Kong, Macau or China.
- ISP98 is difficult to understand because it is too legalized.
- I think the UCP 600 is fine also for standby letter of credit. We have too many rules already, eUCP, ISBP 645, URC 522, URR 525, DOCDEX, URDG, Incoterms 2000, and so on.
- I do not think the ISP98 can help in my commercial letter of credit operations.
- I do not think that the ICC CDCS certificate examination also requires knowledge in ISP98.
