Thanks for Your Support |
Dear T.O.,
Thanks; always fruitful to receive e-mails from you.
As for the NVOCC - I am not sure that I understand your question? To me a NVOCC is a commonly used name for a "transport operator" that assumes a carrier responsibility, without owning the vessel. The same as a "contractual carrier", i.e. an entity that assumes the responsibility as carrier, based on the contract between him and the shipper. (Which may be a freight forwarder)
The way you state it - it sounds like a "organisation"; I am not familiar with such organisation (although I was able to find one in Italy via Google on http://www.nvocc.it/ :-)
Just saw your article in LC Monitor regarding article 30. It was very informative - and clearly illustrates the complexity of this: It seems to me (but I may be wrong) that our line of argumentation is more or less the same - but the conclusion is opposite :-)
As for the Duration Clause, I have - thanks to you - been able to build rather good relationships with some of the best insurance claim managers in Denmark - which is really great! I am still working on this, but no doubt I agree with you on the basic points.
Nice to hear that you will be in Paris. See you there.
Best regards
Kim
